Synopsis :

A hard-hitting dramatic mini-series, based on real events that still reverberate throughout Quebec (Canada). Set in the 1950s during the regime of Quebec Premier Maurice Duplessis, a boys’ orphanage is converted into an insane asylum and the orphans re-classified as mental patients.
Three of them try to fight the system, but hope is just a four-letter word. To keep sane, one of these orphans, Julien, keeps diaries of the mental and physical abuse inflicted on him and the other boys.
Years later a priest within the asylum requests to read Julien’s diary. Horrified and hurt by what he discovers, he decides to leave and to take Julian out of the system that failed him and so many others.
